On his first visit after retirement, ex-Army Chief Gen Naravane pays obeisance at Golden Temple

Gen Manoj Naravane retired on April 30. On his first visit after retirement, the former Army Chief paid obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

On his first visit post retirement on Wednesday, former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane visited Amritsar to pay obeisance to the Guru Granth Sahib at the Golden Temple on completion of his tenure, said Army officials.

Gen Naravane retired on April 30 and has been living in Delhi in his newly allotted accommodation in Delhi Cantonment.

The former chief started his tenure in office in January 2020 by greeting everyone by saying ‘Sat Sri Akal’. He was commissioned into the Sikh Light Infantry regiment of the infantry, which had mainly Sikh troops from Punjab.
