Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who met Punjab singer–turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala’s family at their native village on Tuesday said it is difficult to describe the grief parents of the slain rapper are going through, but ensuring that they get justice is the party’s responsibility. Taking to Twitter, Gandhi wrote “It is difficult to describe the grief that the parents of Congress leader Moose Wala are going through, but giving them justice is our responsibility and we will do so”.

The Congress PM also hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government in the state over law and order, adding that the Arvind Kejriwal-headed party is not ‘capable’ of handling the border state. “The law and order of Punjab has completely broken down. The AAP government is incapable of maintaining peace and tranquillity in Punjab.”

Earlier in the day, Gandhi met the slain singer’sparents at their residence in Moosa village in Punjab’s Mansa district to offer condolences. Several Congress leaders, including Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa, former deputy chief minister OP Soni and other party leaders accompanied him.
