Ransom ‘sought’ from Fazilka shopkeepers in name of Lawrence Bishnoi
A ransom of Rs 2 lakh each has been allegedly demanded in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi gang from two shopkeepers of Fazilka. The shopkeepers have been warned of dire consequences in case they failed to pay the money.
Jatin Kumar, who runs a grocery shop in Jattain Mohalla, and Sahil Kamboj, who is involved in the business of affixing registration number plates on vehicles, have complained of receiving threats on their phones. An audio clip has given to the police.
SHO Sachin said they were investigating the case. These could also be fake calls as the shopkeepers were not so affluent, he said.
